Deputy Opposition Leader Sussan Ley says the Labor Government has proven of their 2023 Federal Budget they’ve “absolutely no plans to fix” long-term issues.
“What this budget does is provide short-term compensation to address long-term problems in the economy that Labor has absolutely no plans to fix,” Ms Ley stated in an interview with Sky News Australia.
“We don’t want people to receive rent assistance, unemployment benefits, allowances that keep them struggling no matter how small the increases are … we want people to do well.
“Dealing with the structural issues and pressures in the economy is not what this budget does, and adding to welfare payments does not do what it needs to do to address the structural problems.
“This budget adds to inflation.”
