High-interest rates ‘not the reason’ for Australia’s high housing prices: Philip Lowe

Outgoing Reserve Bank Governor Philip Lowe says high-interest charges aren’t the rationale why Australia has a number of the highest housing on this planet.

“The reason why Australia has some of the highest housing prices in the world isn’t interest rates,” Mr Lowe mentioned.

“The high housing prices are the outcomes of the choices that we all made together as a society.”
