Harry and Meghan’s car chase story seen as an ‘overblown attempt for even more attention’

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s run-in with paparazzi which allegedly left them shaken was most likely “another overblown attempt for even more attention”, says Sky News Digital Editor Jack Houghton.

Mr Houghton mentioned the New York Mayor’s doubts in regards to the “wild car chase” by way of town and a press release from the NYPD indicated the chase was “either a complete fabrication or at the very least, exaggerated”.

“And the story did not end there – Piers Morgan managed to track down one of the cab drivers who ferried the royals around, and his version of events also differed,” Mr Houghton mentioned.

“Awkward stuff from a couple which wants the world to respect their privacy, while running around receiving awards at glitzy high-profile events.”
