A gardener has been taken into custody after a person was discovered useless and a girl was discovered with severe accidents at a house north of Brisbane.
Officers had been met with a “confronting” scene when the pair of their 70s had been discovered with severe head accidents at a Burpengary East dwelling this morning, Detective Inspector David Harbison stated.
A 26-year-old man from Boondall has been taken into custody and a murder investigation has been launched.
“Police do not believe there is any threat to the public,” Queensland Police stated in a press release.
Harbison stated early investigations advised the 26-year-old was “on and about the premises conducting some gardening work” when “a dispute of some type has broken out”.
He additionally stated police would examine whether or not weapons or implements had been used within the alleged assaults.
“As I said it’s very early days in the investigation so we don’t have the full facts yet,” Harbison stated.
“I’ll stress that this is not a domestic and family violence incident”.
Harbison stated police didn’t consider the person in custody was beforehand recognized to the couple, who’re but to be formally recognized by police.

“Unfortunately this is policing and it’s happening too often,” Harbison stated.
“Our first responders will seek some help for them and make sure they’re OK and not too traumatised.
