Organisers of a Donald Trump Jr talking tour are being anticipated to pay for a police presence on the Melbourne occasion to maintain the viewers protected from far-left protesters, says Sky News host Andrew Bolt.
“Police there are saying, well, if we’re supposed to keep the peace at this speaking venue … you, the tour organisers, you’ve got to pay us,” he stated.
“When right-wing speaker Milo Yiannopoulos spoke in Melbourne, police charged him $50,000 for their help in keeping his audience safe from far-left protesters trying to stop people from going.
“The police are there really because of the intolerant leftist protests, not because of the speakers – therefore, it’s obvious that it’s the left-wing protesters who should be paying for those police.
“Victoria, it seems, under Premier Daniel Andrews, is a state where the free speech of the right is not welcome at all and is certainly not free.”
