Fire crews are combating a “significant” and “fierce” fireplace at a warehouse in Sydney’s north.
The warehouse is on Old Pittwater Rd in Brookvale, simply north of Manly, which is utilized by a number of occupants.
A Fire and Rescue NSW spokesman stated 50 firefighters and 16 fireplace vehicles together with aerial home equipment had been on the scene.
“This fire is intense and is spreading through the building,” he stated.
“Fortunately we have no injuries reported at this stage.”
Locals had been informed to shut doorways and home windows and keep away.
