Fears mounting for Australians after light plane goes missing near volcano

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) mentioned air visitors controllers final contacted the aircraft at 6:46 am, when the aircraft was within the neighborhood of Camalig at an altitude of 2600 toes (simply over 790 metres).

“The Australian Embassy is in contact with local authorities and DFAT officials are providing consular assistance to the families of two Australians reported to be missing.

“Our ideas are with their households, mates and family members at this tough time.”
