A person has died and a girl has been injured in an “incident” at a property in Melbourne’s north, whereas police work to find out whether or not a person stays inside the home.
“Police are currently at a property in Reservoir following an incident this morning where a man has died and a woman has been injured,” a police spokesperson stated.
“Emergency services were called the Willoughby Avenue address shortly after 8.20am this morning.
“The man passed away at the scene and the woman has been conveyed to hospital for treatment.
“Police are working to establish whether a man remains inside the property.
“A crime scene has been established and Homicide Squad detectives will investigate the matter.
“While the exact circumstances are yet to be determined, police believe the parties involved are known to each other.”
Police should not at present giving interviews as questions come up as as to if a siege has unfolded.
