Family wants justice after gran killed in collision with teen on dirt bike
A “broken” household is demanding justice after a loving grandmother’s loss of life in a collision north of Perth.

Police say Kyla Jones, 53, was hit by a mud bike being pushed illegally by a 14-year-old boy, who was too younger to carry a street licence, in Lacelin, 90 minutes north of Perth.

Jones died from her accidents on the scene at 9.30pm on Friday and the teenager is preventing for all times at Royal Perth Hospital.

Jones’ husband Murray Thomas stated his spouse was “extremely loving, giving and generous”.

He stated the household was “broken and devastated” and added that his spouse’s father had died simply six weeks in the past.

He stated they need to be certain that “justice is applied to those who may have contributed to the totally unnecessary death”.

Police are calling for witnesses to the accident.
