Early Thursday morning the constable was making an attempt to cease an allegedly stolen automobile when he was run over and dragged virtually 20 metres in Ascot.
A 23-year-old Belmont man police allege to have been behind the wheel has now been charged.
He has been charged with quite a few offences together with stealing a motorcar and failing to cease when directed to by a police officer.
He was refused bail and is because of seem in Perth Magistrates Court later immediately.
Two others within the automobile, a 20-year-old lady and a 25-year-old man have been launched pending additional investigation.
When the 28-year-old police officer was trapped beneath the automobile, his colleagues used a close-by resident’s carjack to raise it off him.
“We got the knock on the door from the officer frantically asking us for a carjack,” witness Ellice Dudley mentioned.
