DepEd says no class suspension amid transport holiday, urges ‘alternative delivery modes’

There will likely be no suspension of courses when public transportation teams maintain a transport vacation subsequent week, the Department of Education has introduced.

Asked if courses will likely be suspended in areas affected by the strike, DepEd spokesperson Michael Poa stated, “there will be no suspension of classes.”

“Those who will not be able to attend in-person classes should be allowed to continue learning through alternative delivery modes,” Poa stated.

Some transport teams introduced on Monday that they are going to maintain a transport vacation within the National Capital Region and Region 3 from March 6 to 12 to specific their opposition to the federal government’s Public Utility Vehicle (PUV) Modernization Program.

According to a report on GTV’s Balitanghali, many of the members of the stated teams are jeepneys and UV Express drivers and operators.

The PUV modernization program goals to switch conventional jeepneys with automobiles powered by extra environment-friendly fuels. —NB, GMA Integrated News
