Decision to tax the wealthiest by 30 per cent on super was a ‘very conscious decision’

The determination to double the tax on the wealthiest folks’s supers to 30 per cent was a “very conscious decision”, in accordance with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.

“We’re putting forward this proposal today as something that we will legislate for this term but something that won’t kick in until after the next election,” Mr Albanese stated in a press convention on Tuesday.

“It’s a very conscious decision, so that’s very clear that everyone can see what we’re doing here, which is about consistent with the commitments that we’ve made.”
