The Department of Agriculture (DA) has issued a brief ban on pork and pork merchandise from Singapore.
According to a report on “24 Oras” on Friday, that is as a result of outbreak of African swine fever in northwest Singapore as confirmed by the Center for Animal and Veterinary Services.
Citing DA’s Memorandum No. 20, the short-term ban on the importation contains home and wild pig pores and skin, porcine processed animal proteins, and semen originating from Singapore.
Although Singapore just isn’t an accredited nation to export any swine-related commodities to the Philippines, there’s a want to stop the entry of any ASF-susceptible merchandise, whether or not hand carried merchandise from a world vessel or another attainable routes.
