The transfer will see Crown, which is owned by American funding agency Blackstone and employs about 20,000 folks throughout the three places, lose round 5 per cent of its workforce.
9News understands the job losses will principally be in Melbourne.
Chief govt Ciaran Carruthers stated the job losses would not influence Crown’s method to its regulatory obligations.
He stated the restructuring was attributable to softer financial circumstances and playing restrictions.
“The challenges at Crown reflect greatly reduced foreign tourism, a sharp decline in local workers in the city centres, and restrictions on gaming play in Sydney and Melbourne,” Carruthers stated.
“We are committed to our regulatory obligations and ongoing transformation, including Crown PlaySafe, Melbourne and Sydney Transformation Plans and ongoing remediation in Perth.
“This was a troublesome choice, however we’re targeted on repositioning the business for long-term success.”
