Fire crews are battling a blaze at a Buddhist temple in Melbourne.
Some locals close to the Bright Moon Buddhist Temple in Springvale within the metropolis’s south east have been evacuated, with fierce flames seen coming from the constructing.
Earlier, residents had been warned to shut home windows and doorways as a result of smoke.
Fire Rescue Victoria mentioned the fireplace is below management.
Alerts had been issued to individuals in Clayton, Clayton South, Dingley Village, Mulgrave, Noble Park, Springvale, Springvale South.
Springvale Road is closed and visitors could also be affected, it warned.
