The Australian’s Foreign Editor Greg Sheridan says Chinese President Xi Jinping not going to India for the G20 summit was a “tremendous snub” to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Mr Sheridan mentioned the G20 summit was “Narendra Modi’s show” having been hosted in India.
“Xi Jinping not going to India was a tremendous snub of Modi – The Chinese hate the Indians because they are a country which is their equal,” Mr Sheridan advised Sky News host Andrew Bolt.
“They can’t stand that.
“Modi used this G20 brilliantly for his domestic political purposes and to establish India as the voice of the south.”
