The Resolution of Both Houses No. 6 calling for a constitutional conference (con-con) to amend the 1987 Constitution has reached the plenary of the House of Representatives simply two days after it was authorised on the committee degree.

Cagayan de Oro Representative Rufus Rodriguez, chairperson of the constitutional amendments panel, sponsored the measure on Wednesday.

Upon questioning by Camarines Sur Rep. Gabriel Bordado, Rodriguez stated  that based mostly on estimates by the Commission on Elections, it might want P1.5 billion to incorporate a separate line for the selection of con-con delegate  within the poll of the October 2023 barangay and youth polls.
