Case disposition rates in lower courts increased in 2023 — SC

The disposition price of instances in first and second-level courts nationwide elevated to 61% in 2023, the Supreme Court (SC) introduced Monday.

Citing knowledge from the Office of the Court Administrator (OCA), the High Court stated that the case disposition price for first-level courts elevated from 60% in 2022 to 61% in 2023.

Meanwhile, the disposition price for second-level courts elevated from 39% in 2022 to 42% in 2023.

The SC stated that the case disposition price is obtained by dividing the full variety of determined, resolved, and archived instances by the full variety of pending and newly filed instances, after which multiplied by 100.

During his speech on the nineteenth National Convention and Election of Officers of the Philippine Association of Court Employees (PACE), Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo thanked the decrease degree courts for his or her contribution.

“You are the first point of contact between our institution and the people who come to us in search of justice…Whatever your rank or position may be, the work that you do, day in and day out, is the best reflection of the kind of justice that we dispense, and of the quality of service that we provide,” Gesmundo stated in an announcement.

Also current within the conference had been Senior Associate Justice Marvic Leonen, Associate Justice Jose Midas Marquez, and Court Administrator Raul Villanueva.
