Calls are mounting for the Northern Territory authorities to urgently evaluate the Banned Drinkers Register coverage after options its present methodology of utility leaves employees topic to a “greater threat”.
NT Opposition chief Lia Finocchiaro has advised the coverage was a “set and forget” method from “failed Alcohol Policy Minister” Natasha Fyles.
“There needs to be an urgent review into the Banned Drinkers Register to make sure that it’s not actually costing people their lives – making sure that this isn’t a greater threat to life than what already exists because of the crime crisis plaguing the Northern Territory,” Ms Finocchiaro stated throughout a media convention.
