Boxing Day sales may not be the ‘best bargains’ to be found

Choice Managing Editor Margaret Rafferty says to “be prepared” to check costs for Boxing Day gross sales and do a little analysis as some reductions are “not actual bargains”.

“Be prepared and do some research, so often time you’ll see a product deeply discounted, that doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s a bargain,” Ms Rafferty informed Sky News Australia.

“We often find in our lab testing that the cheaper products out-perform the more expensive ones.

“It’s very easy to be caught up in the hype of a big discount and think you’re getting a deal when you’re not.”
