BOC: P1-B worth of smuggled agricultural products seized under Marcos admin so far

The Bureau of Customs (BOC) stated Sunday it has confiscated greater than P1 billion value of smuggled agricultural merchandise for the reason that Marcos administration began. 

In a Super Radyo dzBB interview, BOC spokesperson Arnaldo dela Torre Jr. stated the company is repeatedly implementing its marketing campaign in opposition to agricultural smuggling, in step with the directive of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

Dela Torre said the BOC’s newest interception of smuggled agricultural merchandise occurred within the Port of Subic whereby frozen carrots, and pink and white onions from China have been discovered inside container shipments declared as in any other case.

Dela Torre stated the strategies on how these commodities have been being shipped have already innovated.

“Nakikita siguro ng mga nagtatangka na mura ‘yung pagkakakuha nila ng agricultural products sa bansang China and para ipalusot sa ‘tin. Ganoon kalakas ang loob nila,” dela Torre stated.
