‘Big deal’ for defence: USS Canberra commissioned in Sydney

Curtin University Dean of Global Futures, Professor Joe Siracusa, says the commissioning of the fight ship USS Canberra in Sydney is a “big deal.”

“It shows not only Australia’s cooperation with the United States but more importantly, it shows its interoperability,” Professor Siracusa instructed Sky News Australia.

“The Australian and American armed forces, and by extension, even NATO forces, are not only interoperable but probably interchangeable.”
