Australian comedian Barry Humphries ‘stable’ in hospital despite reports

Australian comedic legend Barry Humphries is in a steady situation in hospital, regardless of earlier stories he was “unresponsive”.

A spokesperson for St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney confirmed to 9News the comic is steady and stated any claims he was unresponsive are “unfaithful”.

The 89-year-old performer, greatest identified for his character Dame Edna Everage, was hospitalised earlier this week attributable to problems from hip surgical procedure.

Wilkins stated Humphries is retaining robust spirits.

Wilkins added the comic “aims to be back on stage again this year”.
