‘Godfather of virtual reality’ Jaron Lanier says society is creating synthetic intelligence as a brand new “superbeing” which is making individuals “stupid”.
“We are creating this almost religion around AI as this new superbeing and I think doing that makes us stupid,” Mr Lanier instructed Sky News Australia host Piers Morgan.
