Heather Ball, in her 20s, was allegedly stabbed at a unit advanced in Caboolture about 8.30pm and was rushed to hospital in a crucial situation however later died from her accidents.
A person identified to her has been taken into custody by Queensland Police after he allegedly fled the scene by driving his Holden Commodore north alongside the Bruce Highway.
Ball’s sister Stephanie Fort posted a tribute on Facebook after her dying.
“You were a wonderful sister and an amazing mother,” she stated.
“Our lives were made so much better and brighter for having you in it, and it is indeed dark times for our family and the many many people whose lives you touched in such beautiful ways.
“We will do all the pieces we will to ensure your stunning infants develop up as glad and wholesome as doable, and that they know the way unimaginable you had been, and the way a lot you adored them.”
A neighbour who assisted Ball after she was allegedly stabbed said she could tell by her voice she was “terrified and screaming”.
After the incident, investigators identified a Holden Commodore as a car of interest, tracking it in the local area before it drove onto the Bruce Highway around two hours later.
Police chased the car toward the Sunshine Coast before deploying a tyre-spiking device.
The Commodore continued driving, before allegedly crashing into a police car on the Bruce Highway at Yandina.
A 29-year-old Morayfield man was taken into custody.
Police allege he was the only person in the Commodore.
The man is now in Sunshine Coast University Hospital under police guard in a stable condition.
It will be alleged the man and the woman were known to each other.
