Climate Change and Energy Minister Chris Bowen says the Australian Energy Market Operator’s warnings of elevated energy outages in the summertime “are not new”.
“There were similar warnings given in the same statements in 2019, in 2020, in 2021 … almost exactly the same wording in many instances,” Mr Bowen stated.
“The difference is, in this instance, this government is acting.”
