‘Right to Care Card’ for LGBTQ+ couples announces new orientation dates

The orientation for Quezon City’s Right to Care Card for LGBTQ+ {couples} is again following widespread demand from the general public, with new dates introduced for May and June.

The QC authorities launched the Right to Care Card in June 2023 to authorize LGBTQ+ {couples} to make medical choices on behalf of their companions. It is the primary card of its variety within the nation.

The Right to Care Card comes with a QR code that leads the person to a notarized digital model of a Special Power of Attorney doc.

This doc grants the person sure privileges, akin to to decide on the physician or well being care supplier of their companion, together with admission or discharge from any medical facility; obtain, course of, or disclose their companion’s private data and medical data; permit or deny medical remedies and procedures in relation to their companion’s medical situation; and different actions throughout the authority granted by the cardboard like processing paperwork.

Those who want to attend should pre-register through the QR code posted by the Right to Care Card’s Facebook put up on Tuesday. The orientation goals to assist LGBTQ+ {couples} know extra about their rights, the cardboard, and the privileges that include it.

The orientation might be held at 8 a.m. on May 11, 18, and 25, in addition to June 1, 8, 15, and 29 on the sixth ground of the High Rise Building, Quezon City Hall.  

Attendees should deliver three photocopies of their QCitizen IDs and pens. QC residents who would not have a QCitizen ID but can register right here.
