A yoga class within the UK was descended upon by police after it was mistaken for a scene of a “mass killing”.
Police had been known as to the category, held at North Sea Observatory in Lincolnshire — in England’s midlands area — on Wednesday night time, after a member of the general public noticed “several people laying on the floor” by the window.
In a publish on Facebook, Yoga instructor Millie Laws stated her class had been “drifting into a deep state of relaxation” when native canine walkers passing by mistook the scene for a “ritual mass murder”.
“Although it’s easy to see the funny side, my heart goes out to those people who thought the worst,” she added.
Lincolnshire Police advised BBC the decision was made “with good intentions” following issues for the occupants.
“Officers attended, we’re happy to report everyone was safe and well,” a spokesman advised the publication.
The Seascape Café, who host the yoga periods, have assured the general public they aren’t a part of “any mad cult or crazy clubs” following the mix-up.
“If any one heard the mass of police sirens in Chapel St Leonard’s at 9:30pm last night then please be reassured …. They were on their way to the Observatory after someone had reported a mass killing in our building. Having seen several people laying on the floor,” they wrote within the publish.
“Please be mindful that the Observatory has lots of Yoga classes happening in the evenings. We are not part of any mad cult or crazy clubs.”
The cafe went on to thank native police for his or her “prompt response”.
“I can’t imagine for one moment what would have being going through their minds on the way.”
“All in all this situation turned out positive and we are of course grateful”.
