Although she is now often known as one of the assured ladies within the business, Michelle Dee was not resistant to insecurities when she was beginning out her profession.
The newly topped Miss Universe Philippines mentioned on “Updated with Nelson Canlas” that her confidence was constructed on previous experiences.
“I’ve been through a lot of failures in my life, I’ve been through a lot of struggles especially this past year,” she mentioned. “But confidence is built through experience, it’s through acknowledging that you are not perfect.”
And to do exactly that, Michelle — a hardworking go-getter — mentioned that she all the time makes an effort to higher herself.
“So every day I don’t waste time fostering things that make me feel weak, but I’m always building towards becoming better every single day,” she said.
“And ultimately, that’s what builds confidence, knowing that you put in the work and hoping that people see through that,” she added.
As Miss Universe Philippines, Michelle will represent the country at the international pageant in El Salvador, Central America.
