A full-scale search operation is underway in a rugged Victorian nationwide park, with a pair failing to return house from a weekend journey.

Police are looking for help from the general public after a 50-year-old man from Murrumbeena and a 37-year-old girl from Oakleigh East didn’t return house on Sunday night from the Grampians, the place they left to go four-wheel-driving on Friday.

According to police, members of the family had been anticipating the couple to return house on Sunday night to gather their canine, however by no means arrived.

A photograph of the pair taken close to Glenelg River Rd on Saturday night at round 8:20, which was despatched to a member of the family, is the final contact anybody has had with the couple.

Police say they maintain considerations for the pair, because the area is remoted, densely vegetated and has boggy roads. It is unknown if the couple have entry to meals and water.
