Channel 10’s Candice Wyatt has shared that she has thought of amputating her foot and is “struggling to see a future” after being identified with two illnesses.

The journalist says she’s been delivered to tears, having been identified with Sesamoiditis, alongside docs discovering a 3rd Sesamoid bone.

“Almost four weeks ago, something in the ball of my left foot snapped while I was walking barefoot on floorboards,” she revealed on Instagram.

“It had been a little sore in the lead up … but nothing too bad. Suddenly, I couldn’t put weight on it at all.”

She revealed she has seen docs, surgeons, had CT scans, MRIs, Cortisone injections and “the list goes on”.

Sesamoiditis is an irritation of the sesamoid bones within the ball of the foot and tendons they’re embedded in and “isn’t curable, but can be managed”.

Ms Wyatt has shared the ache she’s skilled after the prognosis, saying she’s been pressured to depend on associates greater than she thought she would, including “as a fiercely independent person, this brings me to tears”.

“I’m so totally out of whack and struggling to see a future through the fog, that it’s not even funny. I’ve considered amputation,” she stated.

“I’ve lived on crutches for the past four weeks. I crawl in and out of the shower.

“I can’t do my normal job as a journalist, so I either have to present the News at the desk or produce from behind the scenes.

“My social life has been shot to s***e. I’m exhausted from my mobility issues.”

She additionally revealed that docs discovered a 3rd Sesamoid bone. Most individuals have two.

“It’s likely I was born this way … but why it may be causing me problems now, no one can explain. There’s a chance I may need surgery to remove it,” she stated.
