Coles has recalled two physique wash merchandise over fears they may have been contaminated with micro organism.
Beach Rd Natural’s In-Shower Body Conditioner has been recalled because of a Pluralibacter gergoviae contamination in affected batches, with fears the contamination may get higher over time.
“Other bacteria may be introduced with further conditioner use, due to insufficient preservative within the product,” Product Safety Australia stated.
“Conditioner products contaminated with Pluralibacter gergoviae and other bacteria can cause infection or illness, especially in people with, weakened immune systems (immunocompromised).
“Consumers must stop using the body conditioner immediately if the product is part of the affected batch and dispose or return to store for a full refund.”
The merchandise had been bought in Coles supermarkets proper throughout Australia.
Affected physique conditioners are of two variants, “organic rosewater” and “shea & vanilla”.
The “organic rosewater” product has the barcode 9348918003890 whereas the “shea & vanilla” product’s barcode is 9348918003883.
Customers who purchased the conditioner between February 1 and 6 are urged to examine the barcode in the back of their product.
