Being within the limelight will not be a simple job.
On Friday’s episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Abdul Raman opened up in regards to the results of social media peer stress on him.
Admitting that social media is part of his job as an actor, Abdul pressured that peer stress comes from managing and sustaining numbers like followers, views, likes and so on.
“It takes a toll,” the younger star stated. “If I’m speaking for myself, it takes a toll, and with all this connection and connecting with everyone else, somehow you feel more disconnected.”
According to Abdul, it is vital to be aware of how social media works to steadiness expectations.
“It’s all about consciously realizing that all you see on social media is filtered. People want to express themselves in the best way possible, their best picture,” he suggested.
Abdul was joined by his fellow Sparkle artist Shayne Sava, who likewise agreed that not all issues on social media are true.
“You also need to think na dapat maging kuntento ka sa sarili mo,” Shayne added. — Carby Besina/LA, GMA Integrated News
