The pink carpet is being rolled out and the organisers of the ninety fifth Oscars have their fingers crossed the star-studded affair will go off and not using a hitch — not like final 12 months — we’re you, Will Smith.

Last 12 months’s drama apart, Australians have secured 10 Oscar nominations this 12 months, together with eight-time Academy Award-nominee Cate Blanchett, who’s favorite within the Best Actress class for her BAFTA and Golden Globe-winning efficiency within the psychological drama, Tár.

Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis is up for eight awards, together with Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Costume Design, Best Production Design and Best Cinematography.
