Emmy-winning actor Kirstie Alley has died aged 71 simply months after battling most cancers.
The unhappy news was confirmed in a press release launched by her youngsters.
The Cheers star reportedly had not too long ago found she had most cancers and misplaced her battle with the illness on Monday, US time.
“We are sad to inform you that our incredible, fierce, and loving mother has passed away after a battle with cancer, only recently discovered,” her two youngsters mentioned in a press release launched on her social media.
“She was surrounded by her closest family and fought with great strength, leaving us with a certainty of her never-ending joy of living and whatever adventures lie ahead. As iconic as she was on screen, she was an even more amazing mother and grandmother.
“Our mother’s zest and passion for life, her children, grandchildren and her many animals, not to mention her eternal joy of creating, were unparalleled and leave us inspired to live life to the fullest just as she did.”
Alley’s breakout position as Rebecca Howe on Cheers noticed her turn out to be one in every of Hollywood’s greatest stars.
She earned an Emmy Award and Golden Globe for the position, which she starred in from 1987 to 1993.
From 1997 to 2000, she starred within the sitcom Veronica’s Closest, which earned her an extra Emmy and Golden Globe nomination.
