Brooke Boney has made a uncommon admission about her courting life on-air this morning.
The Today leisure reporter was presenting her showbiz report on the Nine breakfast program Thursday, which featured a TV interview of Jennifer Aniston talking about her personal courting struggles on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The Friends actress may very well be seen discussing her long-running friendship with fellow film star Adam Sandler, claiming he usually weighs into her love life with the query, “What are you doing!?”, in reference to unsuitable suitors.
Boney, 35, added her personal commentary to Aniston’s revelation: “To be fair, my friends also sometimes say that to me,” she stated, earlier than turning to Today host Karl Stefanovic, who echoed Aniston’s remark, “What are you doing!?”
“I know, you’ve said that [to me] a couple of times Karlos,” she added, laughing.
Little is understood about Boney’s personal life.
In March 2020, she casually revealed she had a “boyfriend” who lived within the UK, although had by no means revealed his identification or shared photographs of him on social media.
By September that 12 months, it was evident the pair had gone their separate methods after Boney confirmed she was single once more in an ambush phase that includes her mom, Leonie, who appeared on Today speaking about how she needed her daughter so far a “decent bloke”.
On a extra critical word, a month later Boney penned a heartfelt piece for Sydney Morning Herald pondering the choice to freeze her eggs following her break-up, which she revealed had been a years-long relationship.
“There’s still the stigma of being single in your 30s, with people assuming you can’t find love. Instead, maybe the decision to freeze eggs should be seen through the prism of its more likely causes: prioritising career; making decisions based on values; waiting for the right person; or simply leaving options open,” Boney wrote.
In the months after writing the preliminary article, Boney went by the method of freezing her eggs, which she spoke about intimately with the publication in September 2021
“I knew that you were born with all the eggs that you are ever going to have but I didn’t realise how quickly fertility drops off after the age of 35. That was really daunting and made me feel a sense of urgency around it,” Boney stated.
“It was a lovely thing to go through during a lockdown as we weren’t allowed to do anything anyway, so I didn’t feel like I was missing out.
“You see all the changes in your mood and in your body, and all of that shifts with the hormones that you’re taking. It made me realise that I really do want to have a family and I really do want to have a baby.”
