Watson collaborated together with his uncle Joe Camilleri, the chef behind barbecue rub maker Smokey Joe’s, on the unusual vary.

Camilleri urged 17 totally different flavour combos earlier than the pageant co-founder picked the 5 weirdest — bacon and anchovy, wasabi chocolate, seaweed habanero, banana and pickle, and beetroot and garlic, or Vampire Slayer.

“They all work surprisingly well,” Watson mentioned. “My favourite is the banana and dill pickle. It sounds like it shouldn’t work, but it really does.”

“Food and drink were the logical first options,” he defined. “With the inclusion of Exhumed cinema in our programming for this year, what better way to introduce food than popcorn.”

While Smokey Joe’s does make six totally different, largely candy popcorn seasonings similar to butter, gingerbread and salted caramel, Watson insisted on full-on flavour hits.

“If they’re popular enough, I may be able to convince Joe to add them to his regular range,” Watson laughed.
