Soap opera stalwart Meg Johnson has died on the age of 86 after battling dementia “for the last few years”, it has been confirmed. The demise of “kind and wonderful” Johnson, who had performed Pearl Ladderbanks in Emmerdale since 2003, was introduced in a joint assertion from her household, expertise company Jorg Betts Associates and the ITV present. It mentioned: “It is with nice unhappiness that we announce that actress Meg Johnson handed away peacefully yesterday night surrounded by her household.”
