Irish music star O’Connor has died aged simply 56, after discovering worldwide fame along with her epic ballad Nothing Compares 2 U in 1990.
In a press release, the singer’s household mentioned: “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Sinead.
“Her family and friends are devastated and have requested privacy at this very difficult time.”
The last snaps of her had been taken on the RTÉ Choice Music Prize in Dublin this March, the place she received the Classic Irish Album award for her hit album I Do Not Want What I Haven’t Got.
In the heartbreaking pics, O’Connor will be seen beaming, laughing and waving to followers.
