Rare Batmobile toy sold for 7k in fierce bidding war

A uncommon Nineteen Sixties Batmobile toy has offered for a report $227,586 (£117,000) in an unlikely bidding struggle.

The open-top crimson tin toy was made by producer Yonezawa in 1966. A little bit mannequin of the Caped Crusader drives the automobile, and the automobile has its authentic packaging, which shows paintings of Batman and Robin.

The toy, pictured, was given an estimate of $23,342 (£12,000), however curiosity and bidding took off.

Justin Caravoulias, from the public sale home, stated: “Of all the Japanese tin Batman cars, this red convertible is considered by many collectors to be the rarest and most elusive.”
