Radio stars’ raucous post-Logies ‘break-in’

Two radio hosts who broke into the Sunrise set after a star-studded Logies afterparty have shared their drunken shenanigans on-line.

KIIS Radio interns Joshua Fox and Pete Deppeler took to Instagram to share their Logies journey on Sunday alongside host Jackie-O.

Once the cameras stopped rolling, the pair continued documenting their escapades, together with a visit by way of the Channel 7 workplaces.

Fox wrote in an early-morning submit: “Did Pete and I drunkenly break into the Sunrise set at 4.36am this morning? Yeah we bloody did.”

In a video posted shortly after, Fox filmed the duo coming into into the Sunrise set earlier than Deppeler sat down for a mock morning intro.

“I reckon we change shows today,” Fox stated. “I don’t reckon we’re meant to be in here, Pete.”

A crew member seems to even be within the studio whereas the pair are filming, with the video timestamped at 4.30am.

Early within the night, the duo documented their eventful journey to the annual awards ceremony.

Host Jackie-O posted to her personal social media that afternoon that the pair had their limousine parked in.

“A great start to the Logies 2023,” Jackie-O wrote.

“Pete Deppeler left the limo in a random carpark over the weekend.

“Now, he’s been blocked in when he’s meant to be picking Jackie up soon.”

Deppeler continued documenting the journey to the ceremony, including a bumpy ride with Jackie-O in the beat-up limousine.

Dubbed Australia’s night of nights, the 2023 Logies celebrated the success of entertainers across TV, sports, news and a current affairs.

Among this year’s winners was Sonia Kruger, who received the coveted Gold Logie for Most Popular TV Personality.

Network 10’s Have You Been Paying Attention took home best comedy show, while the gong for drama series went to Home And Away.

But, it was host Sam Pang’s comments that made headlines on Monday morning after he lashed Lisa Wilkinson’s Brittany Higgins speech.

In a quip, Pang reminded all winners to remember to “make sure that you don’t mix your acceptance speech with an active court case”.

By Monday morning, many of the award ceremony’s biggest winners from across the morning shows were back at work.

The official Today show Instagram account posted a picture of co-host Sarah Abo on Monday shortly after 5am.

The post was captioned: “There might be some sore heads this morning.”

Later, the account posted a second video with the hosts being offered a bowl of hot chips.

“This is to get everyone through the last 10 minutes of the shift,” a Today show staff member said.

Logie award winner and ABC presenter Tony Armstrong took to Instagram early on Monday to share a dishevelled looking selfie.

Clutching his gong for way of life program, Mr Armstrong wrote: “Thrilled to be here.”
