Perth singer Bec Volvyer has impressed the Australian Idol judges as she advances onto the subsequent spherical.
The 24-year-old Canning Vale resident is the most recent West Australian to make it by to the second spherical of Idol after scoring a unanimous sure from all 4 judges.
“Your voice is angelic and soft…it feels buttery and warm. I felt like the whole room for a moment froze in time, like time stopped,” American singer Meghan Trainor mentioned after Volvyer’s audition.
The aspiring singer PerthNow she was in shock when she acquired her golden ticket.
“I was ecstatic it was honestly the best feeling in the world. I felt so much relief. I felt so happy. I had all my family there as well… I didn’t want to like let them down either,” she mentioned.
“When you go in there, there’s so much adrenaline and whilst I felt really calm it was kind of hard to focus… when judges were talking to me, but it’s almost as if I blacked out. There was just so much to process.”
Volvyer mentioned she was nervous about auditioning and actually needed to impress American decide Harry Connick Jr who she was advised was the toughest to impress.
“Ricki Lee came into the room, probably a couple of hours before I auditioned, she came in and said ‘hey guys, just a heads up, Harry is probably been the most harsh out of any of the judges. He’s looking for you to be like really technically good’… But Harry actually really liked my performance, so the payoff was even better at the end.”
The hit singing competitors hasn’t been on air for greater than a decade, for Volvyer it was the primary time she might audition for the present.
“When this opportunity came around it was like a full circle moment because it was always something that I envisioned for myself when I was a little girl.”
Australian Idol will proceed Tuesday on Channel 7 and 7Plus.
