Perth-based indie band Ghost Care hope to in the future observe within the footsteps of Spacey Jane and that dream is a step nearer to actuality because the trio play assist on their Eastern States regional tour.
We sat down with the proficient trio of Beau Torrance (lead vocalist/guitarist), Luke Del Fante (drummer) and Tanaya Harper (vocals/bass).
1. What do you do for regular work outdoors of your muso life?
Beau is a music trainer, Luke teaches English and Tanaya is a nurse. It’s laborious to make time for music — it doesn’t work, it’s a continuing juggling act for the time being.
Hopefully the tour goes very well and we don’t should work and we are able to simply rock.
2. How does it really feel to be touring with certainly one of WA’s largest bands?
Super psyched. There aren’t actually phrases to explain it, it’s like all we’re trying ahead to this 12 months.
It’s bought to the purpose the place they’re approach too massive for us. They’re making an attempt to push the US and UK so we’re stoked and grateful for us to come back onboard.
3. You’ve toured round WA with Spacey Jane prior to now, what are they like behind the scenes?
Shoe stealing at one stage grew to become a factor. Ashton (guitarist) particularly has bought such massive toes and large boots with so many laces, holding him down and tying his boots collectively was enjoyable.
Petrol station stops are reminiscence, simply stopping on the most random servos in the course of nowhere and stretching the legs.
4. Maddest second from the earlier tour?
At one present it was (lead singer) Caleb’s birthday, so we blew up seaside balls and despatched them out to the group. During the final track the group began hitting them up and the balls hit the mics, so we needed to stand there holding the mics in any other case they’d take your tooth out if one hit you within the mouth.
They had been recording Triple J’s Live on the Wireless as nicely. All the soundies had been stressing, making an attempt to get a clear take.
5. What does the dream appear like sooner or later?
Quitting our jobs and changing into full-time musicians. We dream of enjoying pageant circuits. We are actual enthusiastic about music and we wish to make it our life.
We’d like to do an album however simply enjoying it by ear for the time being. We’ve bought songs below our belt already recorded and able to go for our subsequent EP for positive.
