Oscars host Jimmy Kimmel has blasted celebrities for standing by when Will Smith slapped Chris Rock throughout final 12 months’s ceremony.
The 55-year-old host instantly addressed the elephant within the room and the surprising Oscars’ debacle, which noticed the Men In Black star storm the stage and slap presenter Rock for making enjoyable of his spouse Jada Pinkett Smith’s shaved head.
Kimmel, internet hosting the present for the third time, scolded the celebs’ inaction on the night time and gave them a violence warning for the remainder of the night.

Kimmel advised the Dolby Theatre: “We know this is a special night for you. We want you to have fun. We want you to feel safe. And most importantly, we want me to feel safe.”
“So we have strict policies in place. If anyone in this theatre commits an act of violence at any point during the show, you will be awarded the Oscar for Best Actor and permitted to give a 19-minute-long speech.
“Seriously, the Academy has a crisis team in place. If anything unpredictable or violent happens during the ceremony. Just do what you did last year: nothing.
“Sit there and do absolutely nothing. Maybe even give the assailant a hug.”
