Aussie rock legend Jimmy Barnes has hit the hospital ward hallways for a stroll within the newest replace from spouse Jane after the music icon had open-heart surgical procedure earlier within the week.
Mrs Barnes posted the most recent replace on Instagram and X on Saturday afternoon, accompanied by a photograph of a smiling Jimmy with a zipper scar and tubes on show.
“Day 3 post op we had a few walks up and down the hall way, 250m I’d say,” Mrs Barnes mentioned.
“A tough & fragile day but here’s a big brave smile for us. Keep up the good work Jimmy.”
The updates from Mrs Barnes come after a flood of well-wishes and help for the Cold Chisel frontman.
On Friday, she mentioned Jimmy had taken a brief stroll by way of the ICU as she revealed the household had put up their Christmas tree within the hopes that he could be residence with household in time for Christmas.
The 67-year-old revealed he needed to endure the key surgical procedure after a bacterial an infection he’d been combating in hospital unfold to his coronary heart.
“Unfortunately, I got some bad news late yesterday… despite everyone’s best efforts, the bacterial infection I’ve been battling over the last fortnight has apparently now spread to my heart,” he wrote through X.
“It’s infected an otherwise healthy valve that was replaced some years ago due to a congenital defect, so I’ll be getting open heart surgery over the next few hours to clear this infection and put in a clean valve.”
He was pressured to cancel his upcoming reveals and expressed his apologies to followers whereas pledging to determine what would occur subsequent.
