Radio host Jackie “O” Henderson returned to airwaves this week after taking every week off for the Easter break, throughout which she crashed the birthday celebration of former Married At First Sight bride, Cyrell Paule.
Not solely did Henderson and a few of her KIIS FM colleagues arrive uninvited to the birthday bash, however the radio host felt awkward after she appeared to make a “racist” remark to a fellow partygoer.
“We went along. All 10 of us. Gatecrashed,” Henderson recounted to her co-host, Kyle Sandilands, explaining that she was out partying withThe Kyle & Jackie O Show crew when producer Joshua Fox urged they drop by Paule’s get together at a close-by rooftop bar in Sydney.
Only Fox was invited to the occasion, however informed the crew Paule was cool if he introduced them alongside.
“First person I see, Cyrell, arms stretched, and I give her a big hug and say happy birthday.’ And she goes, ‘I am not Cyrell,’” Henderson recalled.
“And inside I was like, ‘Please tell me you are at least her sister so I don’t seem racist right now!’ And it was her sister! So I don’t feel so bad.”
Sandilands stated it was a simple mistake to make as Paule and her sister, Karen, “actually look fairly similar”.
Paule was generally known as “Cyclone Cyrell” in Season 6 of MAFS again in 2019. The fiery bride ruffled some feathers within the actuality present, notably that of Martha Kalifatidis, who infamously poured a glass of pink wine on Paule throughout one ceremonial dinner.
Apart from the awkward remark upon arrival, Henderson stated the group had enjoyable on the birthday celebration, the place they “hung out for an hour” with a “very nice bunch of people”.
And she was pleased with herself for remaining true to her life-style overhaul by not consuming any alcohol on her night time out, even when the group continued “bar-hopping” late into the night.
It didn’t sound just like the definition of enjoyable for Sandilands. He mocked Henderson, who not too long ago misplaced 18kg, for not taking a person residence on the night time.
“You lost all that weight and you still can’t get any traction?” he joked. “What’s the point of all this sh*t?”
“We were in a big group. We were just hanging out, really,” Henderson defined.
