Hayden Christensen “would love” to function in additional ‘Star Wars’ initiatives.
The 42-year-old actor performed Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader within the prequel trilogy and defined how returning to the half in Disney+ reveals ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ and ‘Ahsoka’ has given him the style for extra work within the legendary sci-fi franchise.
Speaking on Entertainment Weekly’s ‘Dagobah Dispatch’ podcast, Hayden stated: “I would love to get to do more, I would love to continue with ‘Star Wars’.
“We’ll see. I do not know what the long run holds, if such a possibility presents itself, I’ll be there with an enormous smile on my face. If it does not, I really feel actually grateful for getting to come back again and do the work that I did, each in ‘Obi-Wan’ and ‘Ahsoka’.”
Hayden joked that he felt as if he was “dishonest” on ‘Star Wars’ creator George Lucas by working on the projects without his involvement, although he stressed the legendary filmmaker is never far from the thoughts of those involved in the new TV and movie work.
He said: “At first I felt like I used to be dishonest on him a little bit bit. But no, it is a totally different time for ‘Star Wars’ now, and I feel it is actually thrilling that we now have this era the place there are different storytellers coming in and giving their tackle the universe.
“But of course, it all goes back to the Maker, and George Lucas is very much at the front of everyone’s mind when we’re making a decision, we want to make stuff that he would be happy with for sure.”
Hayden beforehand recalled how his life was remodeled when he was forged as Anakin within the 2002 film ‘Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones’.
Speaking on ‘The Jess Cagle Podcast’, Hayden stated: “It was a crazy time, everything started to change just off of the announcement that I was going to be playing this role.
“There was form of all of this consideration and I hadn’t even completed the movie but, the movie hadn’t even come out in order that form of allowed me to have some perspective on it and simply realise that I used to be part of this factor that form of garnered all this consideration.”
