Backstreet Boys singer AJ McLean has introduced he’s separating from his spouse Rochelle DeAnna McLean after 18 years collectively.
The pop star, 45, defined the couple, who share two daughters, weren’t getting divorced.
“Marriage is hard, but worth it,” AJ instructed TMZ.
He added: “We have mutually decided to separate temporarily to work on ourselves, and on our marriage with.
“The plan is to come back together and continue to nurture our love for one another, and our family.
“We ask for respect and privacy at this time.
“Separation is hard enough without the commentary, please be kind and remember there are children involved.”
Backstreet Boys singer AJ and Rochelle married in 2011 after relationship for six years.
They are dad and mom to Ava, 10, and Lyric, six.
In September 2022, AJ revealed Ava determined to alter her title to Elliott.
Opening up in regards to the title change, he stated she felt like her title wasn‘t distinctive.
“When my daughter asked to change her name to Elliot, initially, I didn‘t know if it was a transgender thing, which it is not.
“But it is a personal choice.”
The Backstreet Boys, composed of members Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, AJ, Brian Littrell, and Kevin Richardson, rose to fame in 1993.
