For the primary time since 2019, music lovers throughout WA will lastly have a groove in Bunbury as the favored Groovin’ The Moo music competition is ready to make its huge return in May.
GTM organisers shared some good “moos” on Wednesday, confirming the regional music competition will likely be returning to a full nationwide tour in April and May, together with a date at Bunbury’s Hay Park on Saturday May 6.
It is the primary time the competition will likely be heading west in 4 years, after it was first cancelled in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
While the competition made its return in 2022, the tour didn’t embody a cease in WA, with promoters saying they may not confidently ship the present.
GTM promoter Steve Halpin stated he was “so happy to be able to do a full tour across the country in 2023”.
“We have missed you terribly and can’t wait to bring back the good times around the country,” he stated.
The City of Bunbury introduced final June it had allotted $15,000 in the direction of the competition for 2023 after it didn’t return to WA final yr.
Bunbury Mayor Jaysen Miguel stated the City was “really excited” to have the competition make its return.
“It is an event that the local community really get behind and it brings plenty of people into Bunbury which is great for accommodation providers and local businesses,” he stated.
“Groovin’ The Moo, along with the vast selection of growing events in Bunbury, continue to showcase all that the Bunbury Geographe region has to offer.”
Since starting in 2005 and first venturing to WA in 2010, Groovin’ The Moo has introduced loads of nationwide and worldwide music expertise through the years.
