Last week, international icon Michelle Visage was introduced as the brand new host of the Stan Original Series Drag Race Down Under.

In a current interview with 9Entertainment, Visage expresses her pleasure and gratitude for being chosen as the brand new host of Drag Race Down Under Season 4.
“I feel very honoured that Ru[Paul] has trusted me with her baby, and I am here to do the best job possible,” Visage exclaims.
RuPaul Charles, who hosts the unique US and UK sequence, beforehand hosted the Down Under model of the present for the primary three seasons.

Visage acknowledges the load of the duty handed to her by RuPaul, the creator of the Drag Race franchise.
“Ru handed this franchise to me with kid gloves, with all the love in the world and all the hope,” Visage stated.

Embracing her position as the brand new host, Visage assures followers that whereas some parts, together with RuPaul’s signature catch-phrases like “lip sync for your life,” will stay, she plans to inject her personal character into the present.
“So there are things obviously like ‘lip sync for your life’ that stay. But I’ll be doing my all own sayings because that’s what Ru wants me to do and that’s what I should do. It’s me,” she states confidently.
Visage emphasizes that regardless of her taking on as host, viewers can count on the identical beloved Drag Race expertise. “We’re just doing Drag Race Down Under the way you know it and love it,” she assures. “I’m just stepping into the host position. That’s really the only difference.”
Reflecting on the distinctive qualities of Australasian drag, Visage praised the area’s distinctive sense of humour. “What really separates Australasian drag from the rest of the world is the sense of humour,” she notes.
“The dark humour that comes out of these Aussie and New Zealand Queens is fantastic.”
Visage’s roots within the drag group run deep, and he or she stays dedicated to supporting native drag wherever she will.
“I tried to go support local drag as often as I can,” she says, recalling a current shock look at a drag occasion at Sydney’s iconic Universal Nightclub.
“It was wonderful to be there [on Oxford Street] with Maxi Shields and Kween Kong and all the local kids. It was just so fun.”
